Ep3 swap
 

Well my ep3 started knocking. So I need a cheap swap. Im thinking of a k24a3 will I see a difference or not.

Well, what are the differences between the two engines?

just want to no if the k24 will be ok. ive never had or played with k series.

I'd just find another k20a3 if you don't have kpro.

With the k24, you have to find a crv mountbracket, and the tune isn't the same, along with other things.

k24a1 will be your cheapest option. You will need the CRV mount bracket, it's like $30 from Honda.

Also, you can run the stock ecu with this motor....I've done it. It's not perfect but it will save you the $800-1000 for Kpro until after you do some more mods and really need kpro.
