NASA AZ Summer Nights - August 24-25, 2012 @ FIR West
 

Registration is now CLOSED for the first ever Summer *night* event!!!


We'll use the proven NASA summer format in terms of shorter sessions but instead of starting in the wee hours of the morning, we'll instead start at sundown which will happen a tick after 7PM.

I've got the drivers meeting set for 7:30PM which should give those that have to work on Friday still time to make the event that evening and the paddock area and track should have cooled down significantly by 8PM when the first group hits the track.

We'll feature our all our normal groups, just after dark, under the lights and in a condensed format. Reg fees just a tick higher to cover the additional cost of rental lights for the course.

HC ready?

Final stages. Will be running it in TT small bore to shake it down most likely..

Josh has been working on it in his spare time and it just will need the cage and its done. All the broken stuff has been replaced.

I will be there but just so you all know, it's going to be the HOTTEST event we've probably ever had. Plus it will be humid.

Me either, but my block must be. Pretty sure she's knocking. Hopefully I can get another one installed in time. Oh do I miss the prices of ls blocks when you need them.

Well, if I can't make it, I'll work both days and earn some credito.

But I do have 6 or so paychecks coming (as long as i don't get fired) before then, so I should be able to manage. If it comes down to it, I'll get another a3 block, but I'm really trying to get a k24a2.

I'm actually still driving the car. Put about 35 miles on it since I noticed the knock.

Bullshit. Not hotter than the May and September events we used to have at PIR.

I am with Gabe on this one. May and September at PIR were easily hotter than this event will be. The fact is, this event will be warm but with the sun NOT beating down on us like we would have seen at May/Sept PIR events, the heat won't be nearly as bad.

I'll be there racing the blue hatch in HC and time trialing the red car.
