brake caliper differences

1 Attachment(s)
today i found out the hard way that not all 96-00 civic brake calipers are the same. i have a spare 97civic 4dr that im fixing. the driver side front caliper was leaking on the bottom "piston". so i figured just replace with another and im set..$18/21 for one with pads from pull a wutevr and back to the house to find out, theyre not all the same at all!!
grabbed one from a 2dr, not sure what yr. but it turned out to have different piston setups and mount thickness. i noticed the piston setup first, because the used ones had 2 bolts, and mine had 1. whatevr, still went to install to find out that it doesnt even fit the 2dr has thicker mount brackets that wont even fit on the 4dr
