wow really nice job..how did you clean the engine bay I want mine to look like that

dtruong112 03-10-2011 08:16 AM

I use a light rinse with a hose, then I apply an all purpose cleaner to all areas of the engine bay. Start scrubbing on all surfaces, even the little nook and crannies, then another light rinse to remove the cleaner, dry out the engine and then apply the dressing!

B16-Integra 03-10-2011 05:57 PM

Damn that thing turned out pretty good man.

dtruong112 03-11-2011 08:19 AM

Thanks.

You should post up more customer cars on here, Im sure there are a few people on here that would pay you to fully detail their cars if you had more pics of your work

MrRline2010 03-11-2011 05:54 PM

Hey just curious what combo of stuff are you using for the engine bay?

dtruong112 03-11-2011 09:47 PM

Yeah, Ive been doing it awhile now. Just never really posted before til now. I have a 2010 Acura TL detail coming up and just finished a 2008 Honda Fit, awaiting some time to upload all the pictures.

dtruong112 03-11-2011 09:48 PM

Really basic actually, all purpose cleaner, water and scrubbing brushes. After thats all done, dressing for the engine. I use all Adams products.

ICD 03-14-2011 02:05 PM

How much?

dtruong112 03-14-2011 05:18 PM

^How much for?

tucsondude 03-14-2011 05:55 PM

Do you use a brush and shop vac, or an extractor for the interior carpets and seats?

what kind?

dtruong112 03-14-2011 07:43 PM

^Just carpet & upholstery cleaner, an interior brush and microfiber towel. Dyson was used prior to pick up all the dirt and debris.

iHATEspeedbumps 03-14-2011 07:49 PM

What is the engine dressing called???

dtruong112 03-14-2011 11:02 PM

Adam's Super VRT & In and Out spray.

00_ek9coupe 03-14-2011 11:35 PM

For a detail on a car.

Jermo537 03-19-2011 12:16 PM

wow you took the floor mats out and sprayed them down, some kind of cleaner to the center console (carpet cleaner works great), took a power washer to the engine bay and may have took some 2000 grit to the headlights along with some plastic polish but i bet you didnt do that last step. if anybody wants their car done right you can talk to me which means the car is gutted on the inside, everything except for the dash and thoroughly scrubbed and cleaned, motor is scrubbed and cleaned top and bottom, outside is detailed, headlight restoration if needed and on and on. didnt realize ppl made money by taking out floor mats and vacuuming a car, maybe i should start a business

rickylehondasi 03-20-2011 09:56 PM

dam lol how much do you charge?

dtruong112 03-21-2011 02:18 AM

My clients have been happy with their serive that I provide. If you want to advertise your work, create your own thread with pictures of your work and post in it.

dtruong112 03-21-2011 02:18 AM

It varies of the condition of the paint and what you want done to it, shoot me a pm if you want to discuss in further detail.

DarkAngel 03-21-2011 02:42 AM

Haha my co-worker told me to use scrubbing bubbles as you have done...... I have some stains in my carpet that I dont ever seem to get rid of. Some kind of red stain on black carpet of all things and you can tell its there. Going to try some better chemicals and see if that helps. If not I am buying a brand new carpet for the teg.

dtruong112 03-21-2011 10:02 AM

^I use Adams Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner for all the interiors that I have worked on. Amazing results.

DarkAngel 03-22-2011 11:03 AM

Gonna give that a try and see.

The God Damn Batman 03-22-2011 01:35 PM

dtruong112 03-22-2011 10:24 PM

CobraKai 03-25-2011 01:48 AM

the wheels look amazing afterwards...I need to clean my mom's Sienna, her's definitely don't shine like that after a wash.

Jermo537 03-29-2011 12:51 AM

lol if ur serious PM me...

Prob need to take the carpet out and powerwash it, some stains just DO NOT come out by scrubbing them because they are so deeply embedded into the carpet and the padding below the carpet =(

go fuck yourself you ass clown

The God Damn Batman 03-30-2011 09:29 AM

You of all people telling me to "fuck myself", I find very ironic.

You're shitting on this dudes thead kid. Start your own if you think your work is better.
