Atomic red bird poop from hell
 

I decided to exercise the lude today and drove it to ACE hardware. I parked under a tree so that my car wouldn't be a billion degrees when I returned. Sure enough a bird took a dump on my hood. No big deal, this happens all the time. My car was freshly waxed, and I figured it would just wipe off. Wrong. I got home and tried to wipe it off with a damp paper towel. This bird poop was nothing like any other bird poop I have ever seen. It was all greasy and left a bright red mark where the poop had been. WTF?! I had to go 2 rounds with Meguiar's cleaner wax and polish before I removed the color. There is still a slight etching around where the poop was even after I polished it. The poop was only on there for about an hour total.

My questions are: Has this happened to anybody else? How did you go about removing it? Was this red poop from a bird or something corrosive from the tree?

Try a wax cutter then, clean and buff to a polish. Treat it as a hard water spot.......haaa stubborn spots!!!
