Code p1362 TDC no signal

Hey anyone? So I have a 97 prelude base that I swapped a JDM h22a into. I converted it to obd2 to pass emissions, I swapped over all the parts from the usdm h22a4 that are obd2. So I installed the engine in the car and ran it and it goes into limp mode and wont go passed 3000rpm and runs error code p1362, which is top dead center no signal. The one thing I did use from the jdm motor was the lower timing gear that goes on the crank because the usdm timing gear was kinda messed up. So is there a sensing device in the timing gear for the crank pos/TDC sensor to read that the jdm gear doesn't have Or do you think that the crank/TDC sensor just went bad???

yes the jdm motor dont have the sensor that comes off the crank. best bet would be to splice the signal with the signal from the dizzy, they output the same pulse. But that is for the ckf not the tdc, tdc is in the dizzy... however i have seen the "p" codes be confused. id try the bypass and go from there.

Well I have the usdm obd2 dizzy thats has the external coil on the engine right now. I thought they moved the crank/tdc sensor was moved from the dizzy to the timing belt crank area on the usdm h22. I pretty much swapped over all the usdm obd2 parts and sensors and wire harness onto the jdm h22 to make it obd2. The only part that i used from the jdm motor was the timing belt crank gear. I was wondering if the jdm crank gear that i used doesn't have the sensing device that the crank/tdc sensor picks up?

Do what Cray says. The gear has nothing in it that will sense position. TDC is in the dizzy alone, can you borrow someones dizzy and switch it out real fast to see if it fixes the problem?
