d16z6 block with d16y8 head "help"
 

Hey guys,i need some help with this,my girlfriend blew her cars motor,wich is currently a y8 motor,is hard to find a y8 in yurk yard so i was woundering if i can just get an z6 and install it in her car,is a 00 civic hx, and what i need to get the z6 work properly in her car...

You will need to use the crank sensor bypass trick. The injectors from the y8, if your car is auto you'll have to use the whole intake off your old motor, if 5spd either will work. If you use the z6 head you will need to either put the internals from the old dizzy in the z6, repin it or cut and solder the plugs. If you use the y8 head on the z6 block you will need to use one z6 head bolt and the rest y8 bolts.

All that could have been found on google with little effort.

Sounds good,ama use a z6 block,cuz y8 are hard to find..

I know i could it google it,but theres so many posts that i got comfused con in each post they say something different...
