DANG nice work man, when I need some I will come banging on your door

CTD-FAB 10-13-2010 12:12 AM

Thanks. I used to work Kotter at full race when he was the robot operator and I managed the backshop and designed manifolds. That memorial piece was designed after a sketch he had on the last page of his notepad. We had talked quite a few times about his work as a lineman and I knew it was a big part of who he was. The base was made hollow so that everyone could write a last thought. Big thanks to Joey, CJ, and Nick for the help.

I know he would have loved it.
RIP Kotter

Aftermarket exhaust system for a prius now thats ironic. You do some nice work!

CTD-FAB 04-13-2011 10:04 AM

The kit is mainly for stock engine guys that want a quick reliable 300 whp. Evo guys gets upwards of 385 whp on them and with the plethora of aftermarket upgrades (including a 35r GT-X) I'm sure i can make just about anyone happy. Twinscroll + 600whp + AC is now possible.

Lol, thanks. In theory a well designed header and intake should increase the overall fuel economy. I plan on doing a full sporty exhaust with high flow cat also. Just because you have a Prius doesnt mean you have to roll stock, I like giving people options.

While I have the car apart I might or might not be mocking up a turbo manifold......:drive:

Evo guys are putting down 385whp on mustang dyno with awd drivetrain losses and logs manifolds.

Here is a dyno of two Jeff Evans tuned stock GSR with evo9 turbo on just the gate (12psi) set-up overlayed with a 85x89mm b-series with a LHT intercooled JRSC at 9psi. The solid line is the turbo car and i don't have even any idea what that evo manifold looked like. Mine is designed with tried and true tested math and experience.

You simply cannot beat this kind of powerband with the combined simplicity and reliability with low cost...AND AC powersteering AND full length radiator compatibility WITH a 3 inch downpipe.

There are quite a few Evo turbo aftermarket options also that are a DIRECT bolt in that would use the same intake, charge pipe, exhaust, oil/coolant lines. Sure they may cost a bit more than your average turbo but keep in mind you have a divided setup without the need to buy and plumb two wastegates and fabricate two dumptubes. No dumptubes means no dumptubes breaking and now some roadracing classes require recirc which is stock on evo turbos. Some options are

Evo 8 9.0
Evo 8 9.8
Evo 8 10.5
Evo 9 10.5
Evo 6.5 RS TME (Anti-lag ok + titanium wheel)
CBRD BBK Lite
CBRD BBK full
FP Evo White
FP Evo Green with HTA billet wheel
FP Evo Red with HTA billet wheel
FP Evo Black with HTA billet wheel
ATP Garrett GT-X 3071
ATP Garrett GT-X 3076
ATP Garrett GT-X 3582

From $200 to $2000, from 200whp to 600+whp

Whatever you want, D series, B series, K series, Sr20, no worries, I got you covered:drive:

F*** 400 hp. That stock GSR has 225ftlbs at 4000 rpm!

WINNER!!!

For comparison here is a full race stage 2 GT kit on a B18. This kit comes with a $5000+ price tag and an run of the mill ramhorn manifold.

What would you rather drive? And What would you do with the thousands of dollars saved over buying the full race kit?

PENTAGRAM_OF_EVIL 04-13-2011 04:13 PM

How much for one of you evo set ups for a B.

CTD-FAB 04-13-2011 04:58 PM

Well since I'm not a vendor yet, hint hint Brad. I cant be going around talking about prices and such. I do though have one complete that I was gonna throw in the forced induction classified.

Brad - re posted graphs bra

Here is the original B-EVO thread from back in the day when I developed the setup @ Full Race. Jeff Evans (Evans tuning) has quite a few good things to say about this little killer.

"I really dont know about the evo 8 turbo, but the evo 9 turbo really impressed me. It spooled faster than other gt28rs's that i have tuned on hondas, and made power past 8k (flat torque curve). It can make more power than the gt28rs as well. " -Jeff Evans-

It would prove plenty my friend. They are completely different turbos but I can guarantee the absolute best and most cost effective powerband for 300hp
