PC Beat Making Programs?

Im looking for programs for pc to make beats with, nothing serious more so to mess around with. Anyone know any good programs that arent too complicated?

Hopeless EP3 07-23-2010 10:12 PM

Pro Tools

azjared 07-23-2010 10:42 PM

alright cool im gunna try and check it out thanks man

Pendulum 07-23-2010 11:54 PM

gl with "checking out" Pro Tools. It's called Pro Tools for a reason. Many professional studios use Pro Tools. Check out any of the following:

Cubase
Cakewalk
FLStudio (My personal favorite)
Sony Acid

I haven't done any music production in like 7 or 8 yrs, and I was never very good but I have 3 friends who are all now signed to labels doing electronics music production so I played with some of their setups back in the day.

HondaFreak 07-28-2010 02:26 AM

I got the complete FL Studio9 XXL Edition. No demo.

Gothpanda 07-28-2010 08:16 PM

FL studio 9 is my favorite. I would say if you're trying to mix something like dubstep or hardstyle, then I would go with FL9 or Ableton.

TauntDevil 07-29-2010 04:12 AM

I use FL studio 9 full version, Sony Soundbooth 10, Sony Acid, and DJ Mixer turn tables.

Fix.it.again.Tony 11-02-2010 08:41 AM

lmao Fruityloops ftw

I remember using that back in 98-99

I had it hooked up via MIDI to my Roland synth and had lots of fun.

My vote goes to FruityLoops, get the demo and see if you like it then purchase that shit

RossLaehn 03-21-2011 02:42 AM

There are many beat software that you can use to make your own beats.

But please make sure they have these features:

1: 16-track sequencer (not an 8-observe sequencer)

2: Individual volume control (for every of the sixteen tracks)

3: BPM Management (to control the tempo of the track)

4: Easy Export Possibility (a minimum of exportable to mp3 so you'll be able to burn the tune or upload it, etc.)

Adolfom 03-24-2011 06:36 PM

fl studio 9

civic nerd 04-08-2011 10:23 PM

I have FL Studio 9. I love making beats when Im bored! lol

VonBaffle 04-10-2011 02:52 PM

Keep in mind that if you actually purchased FL, even way back then, you should still be able to got to Image-Line and reinstall the latest version. FL has lifetime upgrades once you purchase.

SINK 01-03-2012 12:36 PM

crxphx 05-04-2012 09:47 AM

I'd say simple brat making fl studio is a good start, but once you master that step up to reason and prepare to lose your social life
