They need to be pressed out of the hub most mechanics can take care of it.

hell yeah im young!!!!!

You can get new ones pretty cheap my friend. I suggest changing both front/both back at the same time. Just pull the hub off, take it to a mechanic with the new bearings. Have them press the old ones out and place the new ones in. Place hubs on the car, Eat icecream for success :)

And when i meant both front/back at the same time. I meant pairs. If your front one is bad. Change both front bearings. vise versa if they're bad in the rear :P

Make sure this is a wheel bearing and not a bad axle. They will make similar noises. If the hub has axial movement then I would go after wheel bearings

tyrap26 08-06-2011 07:21 PM

bad bearing may not always have movement.. unless they are completly gone, jack up your car, put it in neutral, spin the wheel with one hand the other one on the coil youll feel the bearing ''grinding''. also on the road test, you can swerve left to right, turn left the noise gets louder means right side is bad vise versa.

Put your car up in the air and grab a hold of the tire and try to move it side to side like you are trying to shake it...if it moves then you most likely have a bad hub bearing.

tyrap26 08-07-2011 07:46 PM

what if you have a bad tie-rod?^^^

Tfsracing 08-09-2011 08:47 AM

Broskiballa 08-09-2011 12:49 PM

eg6sirs 08-09-2011 12:57 PM

they are hard to do unless you have a press. or you could end up damaging them on install. that is why you should buy the ones im selling.

Tfsracing 08-10-2011 09:01 AM
