Help verifying brake upgrade info

Probably be looking to upgrade my rear breaks to disc. Just wanted to see if anyone could help verify I have the right parts in mind. All stuff is for a 95 EX.

Please keep in mind I'm learning. Not 100% on brake systems and what not, just want to make sure I have all my shit straight.

- DA Integra rear trailing arms and cables
- 91 Civic sedan master cylinder (15/16 proportioning)
- 40/40 proportioning valve from a non-ABS model Civic/Integra

Seems all I would need correct?

Another questions...
Seems the front Civic EX rotors are the same size as Integra, but the caliper or piston is smaller. So for the front would Integra calipers be a bolt on affair? Or what are some other upgrades for front breaks?

Littlejon1378 12-07-2014 03:18 AM

Legend calipers and mini cooper rotors for the front and ep3 rear caliper brackets and ep3 rotors in the rear. That way u have 11.1" front brakes and 10.2" rears. I will be doing the same upgrade soon just need to gather a few more items. I have done a lot of research on this. LIKE ALOT over a year of research and still haven't actually pulled the trigger lol. I am gathering everything so I can just get it all done. Including wheel bearings and ball joints and bushings and pretty much everything on or around the brake area. But I haven't actually done any of this yet so my knowledge isn't quite 100%

What prop valve and master cylinder would you use with a set up like that?
And I know for the rear you said ep3 rotors and caliper brackets, but what about the calipers themselves?
This is probably what I'll be doing first thing next year. Pretty sure my mc is leaking so may as well do it all at once

Brakes/Suspension
Ksport Kontrol Pro Coilovers, 10k front, 14k rear spring rates
ITR 24mm front sway bar, 22mm rear sway bar
ASR Subframe brace (black)
Skunk2 Lower Control Arms (polished)
Energy suspension bushings in rear trailing arms, front lower control arms
Upper control arms, including bushings and ball joints, were replaced about a year ago.
lower ball joints replaced about a month before
Outer tie rods were replaced when I got the car about 2 years ago
NSX/Legend dual piston front calipers, Mini Cooper 11" rotors

sweet talk him into swapping you

or

$1200/1300 I'll go to cali with you to pick them up

or

$700

or

just go down to a junk yard find a integra take the rear trailing arms/cables/etc for probably $50
fronts just do the same or call mickey im sure he has his old stuff...

Littlejon1378 12-07-2014 04:32 PM

I will be using the rear calipers that I already have and just using the ep3/rdx brackets. U can use ep3/RSX calipers but u have to flip them and bleed them off the car and I didn't wanna deal with that. I just have a basic 40/40 prop and stock master for now and will be installing the 91 ex master

90-93 integra rta will put the track of the car further out and push the tire out like mexiflush

you want 94-01 integra rear disc, 92-95 civic ex 4 door rear disc, 99-00 civic si rear disc, 92-95 civic si rear disc

93-95 civic ex coupe front brakes are the same size as 94-01 integra

Littlejon1378 12-08-2014 04:44 PM

I has 90-93 RTA on my 95 ex and everything's seems OK. Please explain more about this I am very interested to know what issues I may face in the future

5mm difference in track, no problems in your near future.

Littlejon1378 12-08-2014 10:57 PM

What does this mean???

It means; que nomás te da 5mm de diferencia (los rines salen 5mm más de cada lado)
y que no te afecta nada.

Another question...
Obviously if you stay stock, stay with stock MC. If you go to upgraded fronts with Dual Piston Legend/NSX calipers, I found you should upgrade to the GSR/Type R MC.
These seem to be pricey for OEM MC though.

Question is...
1) Where can you order some of these OEM MC for cheaper
OR
2) Would something like this aftermarket MC work while maintaining the brake booster??

Littlejon1378 01-13-2015 06:56 PM

If u drive an eg get the 91 ex sedan mc if you drive an ek get and integra mc.

ossman14 01-13-2015 08:38 PM

is it still a 1" MC?

And what year are the mini cooper 11.1" rotors off of?

Littlejon1378 01-13-2015 09:34 PM

The 91 ex is 15/16 and I'm not sure. Google it. It will be a little tough finding the exact rotor you need at least bit was for me
