More Torque!!!!

Getting the car ready again for the track and Time Attack. Trying to find any advantage I can to improve track times. Classes, as you all know, are power to weight (HP) and I am in A with my CRX. Currently running OBD0 B16 stock motor with DC header. I basically max out the power to weight for the class.

Here is my question I want an NA B series motor that makes about 145-150 whp but a lot more than 110 ftlbs. Here is what I have for parts laying around to work with...

B16A2 motor that is in the car
B18C1 block, crank, rods and pistons
B18C5 stock head
Skunk2 S2 cams, TI retainers, springs and gears
CTR pistons

I think that is about it. Thoughts? Thanks all.

Rewrite physics and you could make that happen.

displacement will help, I know. B20B (99-00) motor per HMO data makes 146hp and 133ftlbs. So would opening the B18C1 block up to a 2.0L with a ITR head do it. Could it be detuned, up top enough, to keep the HP to around 170 motor hp and get the torque up into the mid 130s? Or would it just be easier, if it can be done, to get a B20B block and drop the ITR head on it which would get some of the HP back? But would it lose the torque with that head?

Maybe your right, I am looking for what can not be done.
