whats the difference B series cable small/ big spline?
ok i can't find a promising answer. id like to know the difference from the "B SERIES TRANSMISSION"small spline 90-91 from the big spline 92-93. please help
-Is theres a teeth count difference? what? -Diameter difference? -How do i know what tranny i have? -Do they use different clutch kits? -any label or stamps to identify? theres a ls b18 tranny on eBay that says its a big spline 92-3, will work on 90-91 if using a 90-91 clutch kit... i bought a ef 90 sedan with a b20b swap and its needs a transmission, i already have a nice newish upgraded clutch in it & don't want to buy another clutch kit unless i have to, some guy is selling me a big spline 92-93 cable b series trans. idk what tranny i have. |
BBN, nicolos just sent me pics stating that big spline/ hydro has detent ball spring bolts and small spline does not. what a nice guy!! :)

I didn't know that, as far as I know you can't tell them apart besides measuring the input shaft or taking them apart to count gears. |
what do u measure exactly?
|
that link still confused me.. lol
|
easiest way is take a clutch disc from a 94-01 integra
if it fits the trans then low and behold its big spline if it doesnt fit low and behold its small spline. :devil1: |
small spline = small shaft size (diameter) Big spline = bigger shaft (diameter) idk how much easier it can be. There are two size clutches. Check the year on the trans.
