Ok 2014 is here.... Throw out your goals, and give yourself something to be held accountable to.
Myself. Squat:600 Bench:400 Deadlift:650(700 is my lofty goal) Total 1600+ in competition. |
goals . get back in the gym . i took a minor break ,my motivation was slacking .
cook ,cook ,cook . I need to start bench pressing again . I have not done that in a long time now . \\ my goal for this year is to make massive gains . i think ill bulk up or cut down .but i think cutting down will give me a reason to keep my diet on point.ugh let the eating clean begin go to the chiropractor to see whats up with my back . |

New apartment has a 24 hour gym with some nice equipment. My goal is to squeeze in there 3 times a week and lift some heavy things. I'll set another goal once that's done.

bench:275 squat: 305 deadlift: 365 military press:155 goals next 13 weeks: bench:315 squat: 405 deadlift: 455 military press:175 by the end of the year bench: squat: deadlift: military press: ill edit this if i make those goals in the next 13 weeks! oh and ive gotta cut again, from 33% bf again down to 15-20% bf i have some pretty aggressive goals for the next 3 months |

I did well from August-Dec last year, but this last month has been SHIT! Holidays and family visits/visiting has me all fucked up. My schedule is off, my rotations are off, etc. I have a trip to Vegas next week for a convention, but after that it's time to refocus and get the fuck back to work. |

1- Lift heavy.
2- Get back to being consistant, ive been very consistant at the gym for the last few years, and this last 3 months has been tough. Ive never lacked motivation until then. 3- I need to learn how to track myself better. I have no idea what my body fat is, but i know i want to bring it down a little. Goals that i want to hit by July- Bench: 335 Squat: 405 Dead lift: 495 Squats and DL are my main focus this year. |
wrong thread for this but...does anyone go to 24 hour fitness? i wouldnt mind a group lift for chest days. i always wanna push my limits bench pressing but i cant feel whether im leaving 1 rep in the tank or like 5 reps.

Bench in the power rack. You can take it to failure if you have to.

not everyones body is the same. im an ectomorph so im able to get lean and my workouts are higher rep not too heavy. I get a great pump going post workout

Acl/ meniscus surgery 1/15/14
6 weeks of PT Hit the gym hard at 3 mo when I'm cleared to do resistance on my leg Never got my right knee back into shape so I'm going to do alot of leg strength training. |
One year in:
Started at these numbers and weight 144 lbs 6' tall Bench: 105 (Max) Squats: 95 (Max) Deadlift 120 (Max) 1-2 pull ups 10x3 pushups plus a lot of other mixed in garbarge like arm curls, leg press, other cable machines etc. Now: 155 lbs Bench: 215 (Max) Squats: 225 (Max) Deadlift 305 (Max) 5X12 pull ups 25x5 pushups and again...a lot of other mixed in garbarge like arm curls, leg press, other cable machines etc. just much more efficiently. So my goals are to keep getting better and stronger... I dont have a set number in mind as long as I improve. |

Thanks, still got a bit to go fawking love handles, lower belly and chest fat mainly. Its nice and actually really motivating to see definition and vascularity under the fat this time. May actually see abs for the first time in my life lol.
Can't wait to actually eat in a surplus and watch lifts go up faster sometimes though. |
I'm slacking like a fucking BITCH!
Had to work long ass hours for the first week of January, then got sent to Vegas for a huge convention for a week, and now I'm back. Haven't been to the gym in almost 2 weeks and my body is turning back into a lazy pile of shit. Not to mention Vegas was nothing but booze and a bunch of good ass food served up at business lunches/dinners. Today I force myself back and it's time to refocus. |
First day back and I was able to work my bench up to 275. I think I can hit 300 if I just went for it while fresh. I hit 275 after working my way up from 205, adding 10lbs. per set.
I think I'm going to push for 350 by year's end. It's not major weight, but I'd be happy with a 350 bench. |
^^^^Congrats on your guys' progress! My goal this year is to get back under 200lbs and hopefully see some abs I'm at 206 as of this week, I'm shooting for about 180lbs. Last time I was under 200 I had a lot less muscle mass so I'm excited. Been putting more focus on diet because I hate cardio.

480 x 6(2 sets) on DL today. Think that is a PR. Pretty tough, but I had more in me.
