Stock, Clean, Ek Hatch, Stolen!

My bone stock, red '96 hatch was snatched yesterday. I don't have pics at the moment, but it was STOCK, red, factory everything---EXCEPT the side mirrors were painted body color. This is an easy way to spot it (if it's not already parted!!) It was stolen from Park Central in Phoenix (Central and Thomas Rd) It was clean, no mods, with an automatic transmission. Someone is going to rot in hell!!

I am a lawyer, so if I find the pecker, he's in for it.

Dang man good luck. And yea..... throw the fucking book at him..... Literally LOL. Sorry, hope you get her back in one piece.

frnchtcklr 05-13-2011 08:03 PM

Damn that sucks, good luck.

brownrice 05-13-2011 09:34 PM

Sadest part---my virgin hatch will get raped by a chop shop. It was supposed to be a future project car.

meyerracer 05-14-2011 02:12 AM

damn man sorry for the loss

Sprmario 05-14-2011 11:37 AM

sorry to hear about ur loss man, fingers crossed that u get it back in one piece. I remember working there and seeing ur car there all the time, I was the black coupe.

brownrice 05-14-2011 11:25 PM

I have an inkling that it may have been a mistaken ID during a repo job---apparently pretty common in that neck of the woods.

nosfedb18 05-15-2011 09:46 PM

check the apt complex on 7th st and thomas just north. used to do some maintenance on that place and there's been plenty of cars found there.

Zero_Offset_Civic 05-15-2011 11:33 PM

Damn man sorry to hear that. Sounds real familiar, I had my all stock (minty) 00' hatch stolen. They must have been disappointed in the single cam and auto trans cause I got it back only missing the front end body parts. Hopefully you make out better then I did. Good luck,

Zero_Offset_Civic 05-15-2011 11:38 PM

Oh and make sure you call all the different police departments, phx had my car for almost a week and never told the department I reported it to.

I love my EK!

brownrice 05-17-2011 12:18 AM

WOW---Phx PD had it for a wk w/o calling it in?! WTF---I guess they're too busy shooting other officers.

Thanks for the tips guys.

Fix.it.again.Tony 05-18-2011 12:28 AM

aztowgod 05-18-2011 01:47 AM

hatch91 05-18-2011 06:24 AM

your a lawyer and you drive a civic...?

gl

DarkAngel 05-18-2011 02:40 PM

You know I was going to question that comment as well but to each their own on choosing a project car......

ICD 05-18-2011 03:29 PM

Spend 5k and get a 45 mpg civic.

Spend 30 k and get a 35 mpg something.

Smart.

brownrice 05-19-2011 09:54 PM

Yes--it was a future project car. The Ek hatch is a perfect project platform, which I bet you already knew, "hatch91".

I ask a similar question when I see people $30k deep into their car--- "Dude, you' spent $30k on your car and you live in a shack and never went to college?" It's a good thing education and worth are not pre-reqs for this forum. Otherwise, I get the feeling some people wouldn't have passwords here.

brownrice 05-22-2011 12:15 AM

brownrice 05-22-2011 12:17 AM

What's the name of the place? I saw one apt. complex north of thomas on the westside of 7th---can't remember the name.
