Which O2 sensor?
 
I have a 2002 base model rsx 5 speed that is giving a code for a bad o2 sensor im trying to buy the part online but there are a 100 to choose from. Any reccomendations? Trying to go cheaper.

Personally I wouldn't buy a used one, specially one with 80k miles on it already. But if you are cheap and only need it to pass emissions go for it.

First of all it depends if it was upstream or downstream and there is no such thing as a cheap oxygen sensor. You pay less but you get more hassle. Buy it right the first time and be done with it. Also the exact code you got would be helpful in diagnosis.

I had the same issue long ago, denso / up stream sensor = no more cel

got the denso one from sparkplugs.com for 200 bucks works great!

I had the same issue with my 02 S, bought some cheaper brand sensors, and the light came back on, finally buckled down and bought the denso. Works perfectly, and zero CELs. Go Denso bud. no question.

BOSCH or NTK sensors work just fine.
