gsr pan on b16a block question.

so i was told and had read that when doing the gsr pan on a b16 that you should use the gsr oil pickup. when i attemped to do so the gsr pickup didnt fit the block as far as the support arms go. the pans look pretty much the same though to me.
i had no choice but to bolt the b16 pick up back on and put on the gsr pan. i noticed slightly higher oil pressure than before with the b16 pan, is that because of this setup or the fresh oil change? also will this hurt anything?
