Bang for the Buck Tire?
Ok, so I'm in the market for new tires..... 205/50/15 to be more specific. Now, one of my questions is, since I haven't lived here long, should I get Summer performance tires or all seasons? Plus it doesn't help that I need to spend as less as I possibly can.
Right now I'm eye balling Falken 502's.... Anyone have any experience with these at all? My first choice before I found those were gonna be Dunlop Dz101's.... Sam question about these also.... All opinions are welcome and appreciated. |
are you looking for something with some grip or just tires that will last for awhile???
Ideally both... lol But I would want/need something in between.
I spent 53 a tire for some Nitto Neogens in that size. They are great with camber and have some decent grip if you're running a stock engine. I definitely can't argue with them.
I used to run Azenis in the winter/summer. Most people will say their wet grip sucks, but well they must have never warmed them up properly because I never had an issue  |
Where did you pick yours up?
I did fail to mention that I need some that will be good with camber.... |
federal tires are cheap and grip pretty good.
try onlinetires.com they got some pretty cheap tires
:roll:You missed the point of this thread.... I've already looked at the online tire places. IDGAF about those. I simply want input from people that actually have something to say about what tires they run that didn't cost a ton or input on the two sets I am looking at.
neogens for 53 dollars a piece will be your best buy check discount tire
I agree on the Neo Gens! I run em daily
As in these -------->
They're $87 a tire. |
Thank You...
I ended up buying the Nittos.... thanks guys.
nice, imma go with those nittos too. in the past i was always getting kuhmos... FUCK kuhmosss!
discount tire can get tires from "dicount tire direct" but this may be a good sticky thread candidate.
i am debating between 3 tires. here is the info i have collected from various sources and talking to MANY people. -dunlap direzza dz101 $75each (good tire, no complaints, not super sticky but good for lightweight car with good suspension and on a budget) -Nitto NeoGen VR $77each (good tire, 1 noise complaint, stickier than dz101) -Falken RT-615 $81each (great tire for track/canyons, short life. lucky to get 10k miles) i mean really we are only talking a $24 difference between the dunlap and falken but when you have to replace the RT-615 at least 3 times(assuming a normal sport tire lasting 30k miles)... now we are talking about a $243each tire. hell of a dilemma! : ) |
Buy the Nittos from Onlinetire.com.... I only had a problem with my order because I screwed the billing address up...lol
I bought my Neo Gens for $52.75 a tire...Shipping was $42.64. Grand total was $253.64... which is CHEAP.... As for road noise, I don't hear any, but that's probably just me. |
Fuckkkkkk I wish my tires were that cheap for either of my cars...
I spent $600 for tires on one and about to drop $800+ for my truck |
BFG for my s2000 but even if I bought cheap tires it would still be almost $500.....
My truck I am either going to get some BFG's or Goodyears...I have a 4 wd so it is pointless to get anything that is not an all terrian |
Where did you buy your tires from? I might just buy online and take them to get mounted.
