New Hondata Coil on Plug conversion for B/D/H/F Series cars!

2point6 04-09-2011 10:47 AM

Is this good for all motor cars to?

locash 04-09-2011 10:57 AM

Yep, works on all motor cars too.

We've been testing one on Raul's 9 second civic for a few months now, working great. No more stock coil or ignitor problems, no need for a rotor, and once I get done making the billet distributor cover, you wont need the cap either! :)

Dead Bird 04-09-2011 11:02 AM

ahhhh shit.

2point6 04-09-2011 01:18 PM

Sign me up, Sucka!

locash 04-09-2011 09:48 PM

I'll add it to your bill, pal. Just want one, or 10? :)

juan3023 04-09-2011 10:05 PM

Seems like coils packs are getting popular on older Honda motors

king06 04-10-2011 01:16 AM

Your going to make billet covers? Price?

JDM_ZACH 04-10-2011 10:55 AM

This would be good on my race car lol

PENTAGRAM_OF_EVIL 04-10-2011 10:29 PM

how much are you wanting for pre order, and do i have to change anything on my s300 ecu.

99luder 04-10-2011 10:35 PM

shit i want that.. obd2 and obd1 think i would pick one up for my bros gsr and my h22a

99luder 04-10-2011 10:40 PM

no i do have a question.. will these coils be beter then nology hot wires? spark wise?

fmx_dbc 04-11-2011 10:33 AM

This setup sounds pretty sweet. Looking forward to seeing this distributor cover!

gunsup0331 04-11-2011 12:43 PM

Interested in seeing a cover to retain them

allvtec 04-11-2011 01:26 PM

Jake would have not lost the IFo race if he had this on his car !!!

locash 04-11-2011 10:03 PM

At least he lost to our favorite pineapple! :)

I will be making a billet distributor cover in the near future.. It will probably come out around the time that the Hondata kit is available..

Nothing special is needed to be done to the S300, just check the box to enable ignition output on AltC, and you're done..

Pre-order price is $395 with free spark plugs, and I will be offering discounts on the billet distributor cover to those who buy the Hondata CPR..

99luder 04-11-2011 10:05 PM

hey i was just wondering. jeez but i dont see whats wrong with this question or are nology hotwires not so good?

locash 04-11-2011 10:08 PM

The stock vtec plug wire covers will work to retain the coil packs, as well as the T1 Race Development plug wire cover..

locash 04-11-2011 10:09 PM

The Nology Hot wires have been proven over and over to do nothing on high hp cars.

In my eyes, OEM wires are better than Nology wires.

Thanks for the input. First answer I've ever got on that question

Why doesnt hondata just develop one of these?

locash 12-18-2011 05:19 PM

That AEM EPM item does not work with the Honda ECU, they could develop a billet housing for the distributor sensors, but no need to reinvent the wheel, or distributor housing in this case.

C.R.A.Y. 12-18-2011 05:19 PM

Cause the stock ecu which hondata uses relys on the stock timing components. It isn't a standalone like aem.

Bill Cosby 12-18-2011 06:53 PM

In your opinion is the aem ecu/cop a better setup?

Sighhhhhh i need intenseneal in here to explain all this to me!!!

locash 12-20-2011 08:52 AM

Since the AEM COP does not work with a honda ECU, we are talking about two different products. :)

Intenseneal isn't exactly anyone I would be taking any sort of Honda advice from, just read his posts and make your own assumption. :)

The Hondata CPR kits are now on backorder, I sold out of them this week.

Bruticus 12-20-2011 09:11 AM

All I was suggesting is Hondata develop something to take the distributors place, it will look pretty goofy, even with a billet cover, to have the distributor still bolted up despite having a COP. More than half of the Honda/Acura customer base has pride in the visual appearance of their engine bay. I'd also be willing to wager to say that a large percentage of buyers would get this just to say they have it and for cosmetic purposes.

PENTAGRAM_OF_EVIL 12-20-2011 01:06 PM

More than half also cant afford to buy an s300 just to use this..

When is the next shipment supposed to come in. Or do they not have an eta yet.

locash 12-20-2011 03:31 PM

Unfortunately, No ETA has been given.. I received over a third of the initial released amount, and sold them all within a few weeks with the billet distributor cap.. I can put your name on a list if you definately want one..

Bruticus 12-20-2011 03:36 PM

BTW, Joe, that cap is really nice looking. I wouldn't consider this if your piece wasn't available. Too bad I'm running a K20Z3 soon.

You should get a pic of that cap posted up here.
