LONESTAR 01-13-2010 10:26 PM

e2blade 01-13-2010 10:53 PM

if you really want an honest opinion id LOVE to express it :)

LONESTAR 01-13-2010 11:55 PM

Then do it!

91_Si_Guy 01-14-2010 06:15 AM

do it, i know there good pictures

TYC 01-14-2010 09:05 AM

Well, I guess my first CC is to make your pictures bigger then 319x158. Any reason why you decided to go that small?

The President 01-14-2010 09:46 AM

ohh jesus... here we go.

I'll add one thing to this. The RSX looks like it's sliding down a cliff, cool it on the neck breaking angles. I'll hold my tounge and let Charles be the bad guy for the rest of everything.

SlowLS 01-14-2010 11:26 AM

As much as i hate to admit it, this guy is right. Angles are odd, pictures arent centered no real thought.......i couldnt agree more

The President 01-14-2010 11:43 AM

ohh and one last thing. no one gives a shit if you do or don't use a tripod. It's not like using a tripod is cheating.

alx 01-14-2010 12:15 PM

One of the best ways to figure out composition and posing of cars and or people. Check out professional photographers work and emulate it as well as researching it online.

Anyone want to learn really good photoshop techniques and workflows, check this guy out at Lynda.com

His name is Chris Orwig and is an amazing photoshop guy

cflores 01-14-2010 12:31 PM

Wow actually some helpful advise. Instead of some "amature photographer" just bashing, why dont you guys actually give pointers and helpful advise/ critisim.

The President 01-14-2010 12:42 PM

alx 01-14-2010 12:53 PM

can you post the link to the info? this helps me out a lot, my worst skill at photography is composition. well thinking about it is more the issue.

I took back my 40D and recently bought a point and shoot, just so I would start to think about composition more. I know its rather extreme but with all the classes and research I've done, I'm great at figuring out lighting and my post processing is ungodly (in my eyes, I'm a graphic designer) but my composition is just horrible.

btw I think e2blade's criticism is fair and helps, could maybe have been more in depth but he made good points. And if you cant take criticism don't take up artistic endeavors

cflores 01-14-2010 12:55 PM

There you go.. Now that wasnt that hard to do, Helpful advise. Thanks im sure the op would like this write-up. Very little bit helps when your learning something new.

91_Si_Guy 01-14-2010 12:56 PM

why are angles so bad? what if that is my style?
why does everything have to be straight?
isnt that played out?

cflores 01-14-2010 12:59 PM

I agree but its more like bashing, intead of actually adviseing the op of helpful ideas or ways to improve. Being more in depth with the his criticism would have helped too

I don't have a particuar link for all that above. it's just a beginners guide to DSLR's
ohh and here is my disclaimer (I did not write all of that).
Here is a link to the Rule Of Thirds though.

"Head Room"
)

"Lead Room" (this one is a bit more vauge than the others and doesn't have any examples)

alx 01-14-2010 01:08 PM

I used to think the same thing, it makes most people sick and they don't want to take the time to look at your images. They cant tell witch way is up and it causes a lot of people to feel uncomfortable, which would be great for a avant-garde or experimental artistic type shot. Not so much with car photography.

Another tip for the OP, don't take shots at standing height. Crouch, lay down or stand on a latter. Standing pics end up being really boring. Its how we see the world everyday. Great for shots of people in crowds or family photos but not for this type of photography.

GTABurnout 01-14-2010 01:15 PM

Wow the pure Street guys just dropped some knowledge. Well at least they copyed some knowledge from an elementy level photo site.

Keep up the good work guys. I think there just pissed theres no underage girls in the pics....
