Insurance

With the age of these cars, what do you pay monthly for insurance. I want an idea on what to expect.

seth00008 06-05-2008 05:20 PM

for my 92 hatch i pay 112.60 a month for liability

SlowCivicHmm 06-05-2008 05:30 PM

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
you must have a bad driving record like me then bro...

I pay 120 a month liability only w/American Family

if you have no prior accidents/tickets and about 25 expect to pay like 150 full coverage and like 60 a month liability........

even though I doubt anyone of us fit that description....

SlowCivicHmm 06-05-2008 05:45 PM

actually if you have multiple vehicles....do this....

Prior (4 years ago) I insured my hatch as primary vehicle liability only cost was like 230 a month......

then my 03 chevy blazer/4x4 as secondary/rec vehicle w/full coverage was only 105 a month.....

plus my renters ins 15 a month.....total of what 350/month

saves you tons of cash......now just drive the rec car and all, but if something goes down you have insurance on both.....

the other way around would of been full coverage for like 350 on blazer, plus 140 for liability on the hatch, 15 for renters.......total of 505/month

Not sure if ya'll will get that...

Dirtbikeraz125 06-06-2008 07:56 AM

i pay like 190 for full coverage. damn speeding tickets!!! :dumbass:

INTEGRA DC2 06-06-2008 08:04 AM

X2 i pay 185 for my teg, its cause of tickets & accidents but that is full coverage and everything to the max

Nedaaaah 06-06-2008 09:18 AM

for my teg i payed 230 a month for liability. i had two accidents in 4 years and a speeding ticket.

Bonez 06-06-2008 10:18 AM

It also depends on ages right?
How old are you guys too?

INTEGRA DC2 06-06-2008 10:25 AM

Yes it does depend on age i am 22

p-townHONDA 06-06-2008 11:26 AM

Mr.Burner 06-08-2008 04:01 PM

ChicagoMike 06-08-2008 04:19 PM

I'm 30, and have had my share of speeding tickets, but right now I'm paying $175/month for full coverage with a $100 deductable for my 92 hatch and my wifeys 99 civic coupe. I'm definately not complaining.

Oh yeah.....thats with Allstate.

Ryan 06-08-2008 10:07 PM

I am in my late 20's and own 4 cars. 3 are on local coverage I have here in AZ. Great driving record. I have full coverage on all three vehicles for me and my girl listed as drivers of all the cars. One car has an added $5000.00 upgraded after market parts coverage and I pay $345.14 for full coverage on all 3 and extra total loss coverage on one. About $140 less than we were paying with Geico. Now we we have Bristol West. They are great.

stlgtodc 06-09-2008 11:26 AM

more than liability but not full coverage, 179 a month with usaa. Moving violations, speeding tickets, wrecked 02 vw gti 337.

efcivic91 06-09-2008 03:43 PM

75 full coverage usaa

LSVTEC Sol 06-09-2008 04:16 PM

SlowCivicHmm 06-09-2008 06:53 PM

Change Carriers....

unless you just got your license 1st time ever within 6 months......if you have had your license since 16 (15.7 permit) it should be cheaper.......insurance is based on risk, and driving experience...if u have had no tix, you aren't a risk other than age.....but with your license issued w/no record for 2 years u should be payin less than that or slightly higher for full coverage...

They saw stupid on your face and it cost you....

I'm in the insurance world...I knwo show cuts...unfortunately I'm not an agent yet....

WHEN I AM AN AGENT I'LL HOOK of of AZHT with insurance CHEAP as I can...FYI!!

93-EG-4DR 06-09-2008 10:52 PM

i have a bad record and i pay 98 a month to the general... lol... i have liability and i just turned 21

(on my record)
20+ speeding
2 failure to obey
running a red light
and a not at fault accident

i think that is it... but speeding tickets count for a decent amount of points on most insurance scales

seth00008 06-09-2008 11:12 PM

actually i dont have any tickets nothing, its because im 17 and im on my own plan i had my parents co sign it, thats why its that much

SlowCivicHmm 06-10-2008 12:01 AM

have you got into a wreck with the general?? I checked them on our carrier rating database @ work..no rating.....bet you they do one claim and drop you @ renewal....jajajjaa

SlowCivicHmm 06-10-2008 12:03 AM

how could u be on your own plan and have your parent sign on it?? lol

to properly insure a car in a household w/multiple drivers you have to sign and exclude everyone not driving the car.....it gets rated on people with a license in your household...

and before anyone says it.....roomates do count, but most of us don't report that or them......when you live with rents it diff......FYI....

seth00008 06-10-2008 12:06 AM

well im the only one who is covered i guess you could say to drive my car, and my parents go threw a whole different company so you tell me,

SlowCivicHmm 06-10-2008 01:43 AM

oh insurance varies by zip code as well..

when I lived in 85282 (Tempe) I paid 260 right prior to my move...I moved to Phx (85042) My insurance went up 100 a month, no fukkin joke....

1_sik_si 06-10-2008 02:21 AM

well im 22 with 12 tix and i pay 105 a month with viking insurance liability ofcourse lol

93-EG-4DR 06-10-2008 11:26 AM

no i just started with the general... and i am sure that they would probably drop me if i got in a accident... but i just need to be legal... and as long as i am not the 1 that is at fault i dont think that it should matter to much...

and yea where you live matters too cuz of the population and the higher the population the more likely (they say) youll get in a accident... i live in 85086 just out of phx city limits and when i was looking at insurance quotes i typed in a phx zip and it went up about 70$ so if you can get a p.o. box out of phx and tell them you live out of phx youll save a decent amount of money... and if you get 1 in yavapai county (Black Canyon City is the closest) it will make insurance cheaper... and you wont have to pass emissions either

SlowCivicHmm 06-10-2008 02:38 PM

negative........

your insured addy has to be a physical address of where said insured vehicles will be parked majarotiy of the time........

a pobox will void all insurance incase of a claim...any claim....

ALSO...if you have "free" glass, it counts as a claim and too many will put you dropped at next rnwl or higher rates with a diff carrier when you end up switching.....

SofaKingTyte 06-11-2008 12:29 AM
