I wanted to say "stewpid noob sammich shulda got an Si BRO"

but i dont wanna be a dick today, oddly enough.

they have parts for just about any model. Also some Si parts (as long as they are not engine related DO work on non-Si's, but not all.

Good luck man, should be able to find, I/H/E and there are companies that make Turbo kits for it aswell, pretty impressive.

in all seriousness though it is a pretty weak platform for engine modding. Make it look dope then enjoy the gas milage.

haha touche... no i wanted an Si drove one, set up the deal, called my insurance guy................... and 800 a month later i could have had one. in about 2 years all my tickets and shit will be off my record so i will have an Si, or an STI then :).

thanks bro i appreciate the help.

HOLY FUCK DUDE, you really SHOULD have gotten on here before, i could have suggested some other insurance companies. Im 21 with a clean record, 500$ deductibles and mid-level BMI coverage (not state minimum) and pay 110 a month. On my 07 Si Sedan.

But im looking at an 08 STi hatchback, with Geico they quoted me 100$ a month with 500$ deductibles, because its newer, slightly safer i guess! crazy.

Its still mod-able, they make FAT torque when turbo charged. The ETS (i think) kit on like 6psi pump gas made like 205hp and 220ft lb's

thats something you dont see with the Si and im not sure as to why the R18 is that way, but it is.

believe me ive shopped around like crazy. i have a total of 12 points on my record right now, in 6 months it drops down to 6 or 4. i fucked myself by doing stupid shit while i was younger.

im actually really liking the Lx model, good gas and decently quick for stock. i saw that turbo kit and it seems crazy. i might just keep this and make it a sleeper!!

the R18 is actually a decent platform, it just isnt as easily modded i guess. i bet soon it will be tho.

You'll likely make the car faster with 17lb wheels and good tires than you would with an intake and a catback. I'd consider some. Find a deal on some HFP shocks and springs and call it a day.. . Save the rest of your money for your next car in 3 years ;-)

you make a valid point, i might just take that advice! haha thanks for the help

Atomic-Orange-Turbo-Sloth 08-12-2011 01:21 AM

you just dont want his LX to be faster than your Si

berny2435 08-12-2011 07:52 AM

ha! That's the last thing I'm worried about. :drive:

Bolt on an 09 front bumper. They look so much better than the 06-08 design. If ya want get the 06-08 EX alloys, exhaust tip finisher and the rear deck lid lip spoiler and everyone will think it's an 09 LX-S model they made for only that year I believe.

Almost missed 2 items, the piece on the trunk lid above the lic plate. Yours is color matched to the car. From 09 on they were chrome. The LX's have a key hole while the EX's don't. If it's a 4dr, the outer half of the tails are different. The 06-08 turns in the rear are red while the 09-11 are clear with an orange bulb.
