fuel pump
II've got a 90 civic. The fuel pump will not prime, the car was running fine a few hours ago. Now the oil light is on. The car is out of oil. Could the car being out of oil make the fuel pump not prime now?
why would you want to start it without oil anyway. Check your Fuel Filter. Fuel pump relay? could be a number of things. more info could help? i would be focused on the oil issue more than fuel IMO.
I tried to start it but the fuel pump did not prime and then the oil light came on.
Well add oil first!, then if it dnt prime then it might be the pump. might as well replace ur fuel filter as well if u havent yet.
changed the oil and hard wired the fuel pump to the battery to make sure it works and it primes. what else could it be?
So I changed the main relay out and its still will not prime. The ecu is not throwing any codes at all. The cluster is showing the check engine light and the oil light but it has fresh oil and oil filter. What can it be??? I need help on this
Pull the code off your ecu that will tell you what's wrong... Count how hadn't times it blinks. 1 long blink is 10 short ones are 1 watch it several times to make sure there is not more than 1 code

The ecu isn't throwing any codes. I already checked that.

Check to see if fuse number 2 on the underdash fuse box is blown (10 Amp), also fuse number 37 on the underhood fuse box (15 Amp)
Both of these are part of the main relay circuit. |
Thanks I will check them when I get off work. Il let you guys know
Thanks everyone who gave input. She's running again.
Was it a blown fuse?
Yeah I checked the fuses 3 times. Guess I missed it the first times haha.
