Ek electrical issue
 

I am having an electrical issue with car. Its a 98 civic b swapped. Obd1 converted. The grounds are good. The issue is that at night while having lights on when I slow down lights dim and when I give it gas lights brighten up. I had alternator tested and its at 14.2 volts battery is good. Anyone have any thoughts or have dealt with before.

grounds. i know you checked them but hondas are super sensitive electrical wise

also check both battery cables as then tend to corrode easy and the corrosion will run down thru the cables

you should have a ground coming off the transmission, one on the back of the thermostat housing and one on the valve cover stud. not the valve cover itself but the stud

Grounds are good, brand new battery terminals and wiring looked good. And I will look at the one in valve cover.

Any extra hardware conneced to the battery source? Ie soundsystem, neon lights etc.

Is a big dim?

Lmfao at neon lights. I have a 4 gauge off of it. Its a noticeable dim.

terminals being new doesnt really matter. how old are the actual cables?

doe the interior lights dim as well? do the taillights dim? if the car is idling and you put the AC on do the headlights dim as well?

Headlights dim yes it will dim when I turn on ac.

Volts tested good but what about amps? Could the belt to alt be a little loose ?

Have u clean the area for all the grounds were they bolt up.?(the negative on the pass shock tower)
I personally added another ground to mine, it doesnt hurt to have to many grounds lol

Yep all clean on all grounds.
