I started looking at Seibon trunks and didn't know what anyone else thought of them. I couldn't find any pictures of coupes.

You don't have a machine you can test it with at work, so that you're not wasting trips to the emissions place?

Doesn't look too bad. However, that would technically be illegal here, since no reverse lights.
I don't know about the rest of the car though... little too much for my blood.

Yes i do. I used it. The problem is/ was at idle car was good on nox. Its when it is under a load when the nox gets bad. Thats the cat failing. Here is a pic of what my car looked like on the machine. Notice where nox is at.uploadfromtaptalk1340917731728.jpg

Isn't high nox the first thing to show up when a cat starts going bad? Or was it that it kills them faster(pretty sure this is true either way as it can push the cat temps above their optimum operating temp)? Fawk head is fried from being outside all day.

Not necessarilly. Nox is from either high combustion temps, clogged egr, leaks, cat not having the ability to conver nox into nitrogen and oxygen. if your cat is falling apart(which i think mine did) then yes it will show up first. but generally failing co's is one of the first tell tale signs. co's tell the efficiency of a cat.

The problem i think mine is the rhodium failed in my cat. thats why at idle it is good but under a load it fails due to it probably falling apart. i started to notice a rattle in my exhaust a couple weeks back and i took it apart to see, the cat "looked" to be ok and what ever it is wont come out.

In Soviet Russia, your cat doesn't fail you, you fail your cat.

Its too effing hot to be sitting in line at the emissions. So happy this only comes bi-yearly. Hope it passes.

My car isnt exactly "slammed". Short walled tires do necessarily help though.

Lifted the front up about an inch to take it through emissions on monday. Also found another oil leak but cant pinpoint it. It looks like its coming from the axles though. May be a reason to get new ones now.

They wouldnt test it. The guy gave off that doosh vibe though. Probably just hating cuz he most likely drove the busted ef in the parking lot lol. I remember driving crazy ass slammed cars when i was working for the emissions in 2006-2007. I went to the same station i took my wifes car (110th and glendale) and my cars the same height. A guy on the site tested her car and didnt say anything. I recognized his blue coupe from a thread he had on here.

You can ask for a manager and ask them to run it with no liability...they usually do it for me if I ask that way.

Hmm i should have. After i actually looked at the car it was a little lower than i would have thought, even with 60 series tires up front. I lifted it up yesterday though so ill see what happens on monday when i go to get it tested. Hopefully it passes. I might play with my mechanical timing today. Im not sure but i might be a tooth off since my dizzy os completely retarded, and i can hear it ping a little when i advance it. High conpression is so tempermental...

Edit: diy evap smoke tester here i come.
