Car Security

Whats up guys, Im a new fella here and was suggested to get an alarm for my project, My older brother used to be on these forums like 2 years ago so i've heard about the car theft issues. So...

I know about the lower security stuff like Locking your doors of coarse, removable steering wheels, and kill switches, but I dont know much about anything when it comes to car alarms... Any suggestions?

Ditto, if you can swing it.

If not then a well installed alarm with kill switches and the such should be good as well.

Layers, think layers.

Get creative with the kill switch, not just the typical starter kill.

I have a few ideas of where to place it, by the way do you know how well a removable steering wheel works for security? I dont have one and see that some are quite pricey but its a removable steering wheel, you cant really steal something you cant drive right?

You're obviously not mexican, lol

I don't think QR should be the only security because everyone has the same QR and can just pop their wheel on.

Get a boot if this is something you will really care about and build, seriously

Actually am just dont have much knowledge on cars or car theft lol. But anyways i actually am trying to take this as a serious build since i like the car and its salvaged so wont resell well.

Ill look into a "boot" but ill have to look up what it is first lol

What I mean is I'm not a "car guru" or whatever you want to call it. I know some general information on maintenance but that's about the top of my knowledge. But AZHT has been pretty good with help so far but it seems like AZHT isn't what it used to be a year or two ago when my brother was on here.

I knew what you were saying. I was making a point that most people buy salvage title cars and think that throwing a couple of parts make it as valuable as its clean title counterparts. I was also kinda pointing out that you already get it.
