my y7 blew so I got a b8 cannot get it to start tho

Ek chassis with original d16y7 (obd2)
The y7 blew so I bought a motor off a friend
Obd1 d15b8

I pulled the y7 this mornibg and dropped the new motor in along with:
Y7 dizzy
Y7 alternator
Y7 engine harness
Y7 obd2 ecu
Cranks but won't start. No spark what could be the problem?

You forgot the oil pump. Crank trigger sensor? I think that's what its called.

Without it it won't start? Am I right by using the y7 ecu or jumper harness to the obd1 b8 one?

well the distributor should not have fit and there is more items on the obd2 engine that the obd1 engine does not have

you should be getting some sort of check engine light

Dizzy fit right in holes lined up and everything I'm getting no spark though thats what throws me off I've read about bypassing ta few sensors but what I read all said that the car will start but just run like shit unless the sensors are bypassed mine just cranks doesn't start

so when you say no start, have you checked for fuel/spark and compression? check those first than cont to diagnose

also make sure timing is correct

That's why im wondering if I don't bypass these sensors will they hinder me getting spark to the distributor or is this a totally nonrelated issue

totally unrelated issue and the coil or ignitor could have conked out in the distributor

it would still run. well atleast my integra did, do you not have any codes coming through?

also timing being off would cause no spark, ask me how i know

Do you have piston/ plug wires matched up properly?
Check firing sequence.

firing sequence is correct i just went to import powerhouse and they told me the crank sensor is only for emission purposes should only throw a cell code dizzy was working perfect can anyone help me with a wiring diagram

i could have told you that and sure the distributor was working but shit happens sometimes

what is a wiring diagram going to do for you?

does your check engine light cycle on and off before you start the car?

does it stay off when cranking the car?
