Plastic panel repair/welding *PICS!*

Our Hondas are old, shit happens and things break.
Oh well.
So what do you do when cbaracing doesn't have what you need, or when the junk yard just turns up the same broken piece?
You fix it, that's what you do.

And with Chuck Chainz' comprehensive step by step guide you won't ever have to worry about that split kick panel or broken interior trim again!

Now, let's begin.
Tools you'll need: torch, flat head screwdriver, small strip of plastic (same as what you're repairing) and in the name of safety, get yourself some gloves glasses and small respirator mask.

1: thoroughly wash the affected area or clean with alcohol (I tried fixing it with super glue before)

2: remove some material from the inside of the damaged panel.
Get a dremel and remove along the split

3: get your torch out and get the screwdriver nice and hot

4: remember that extra plastic piece? Good, Ok now it's time to use it.
Support your panel on something sturdy because you're going to be using two hands now

5: with one hand place the plastic piece over the dremeled crack and apply the hot screwdriver to it,
It'll start melting imediately so work quickly. But be sure not to penetrate the panel or warp it by staying on that area too long

6: you're done! Well, almost.

7: let it cool for a few minutes and be done, OR you can repeat the processon the other side, the side which will be visible.

Lol that works. Or they make actual kits for this or use a soldering gun.
