k24a4 swap&build

Hey all. I got a k24a4 out of an 06 element going into my ep3 this week. Once I've got it in and running I'm going to be investing in building the engine. I've got a vtec killer in mind... http://www.k20a.org/forum/showthread.php?t=66643
something like that. Wondering if anyone has experience in swapping the exhaust rockers from a type-s maybe... Or if it would be safer to go with the k20 like the thread guy did. Anyone care to chime in? Just tossing ideas around.

Why no do that stuff before putting the engine in? It's fairly simple. Your just locking the rockers for vtec on all the time. Pretty straight forward. Did it on a n k24 crv block a long time ago. Never ran it but to do it is simple

Not doing anything to it now because the car is in my dad's garage and he wants me to get it out asap. Besides that I got the engine from the junkyard up here in flagstaff. Want to be sure it's runs stock before trying anything.

All the write ups on doing this swap say that the exhaust will hit the torsion bar if you don't swap the header or modify the exhaust... Mine doesn't hit the torsion bar the cat touches the underbody. Haha. Modifying...

Do you have kpro? I've had the oem set up but never install. Not sure if the same but I had a k20a3 I was gonna use the spare a3 rockers and a2 cams and would of work but didn't have kpro at the time that's why I didn't use it. But recently there is someone who just did the k20z3 head on stock k24a4 block and he hasn't had any issues. He also made a video as well to do a small review on it I could link you too if you like. But I'd suggest just going with a k20 head though

I found a small crack in the back of my k24 head... Not enough to throw any flags tho just been keeping an eye on it. Did some research and looks like I want to find a z3 head, something about best flow... Still thinking of going vtec kill maybe boosting a little later (tax season) c;
I just swapped to the a2 fuel injectors since I made the swap. Only issue I have is fuel pressure drops every time I have to put gas in.

I read that write up about the z3 head on this engine.
Also no I don't have kpro just stock ep3 ecu.
