i have been to this track.. in fact, it was just february that i was last there.. its just north of lancaster, ca.. where he spun out is a really fast corner.. pretty flat for the most part.. it looks to me like he tried to recover the spin and crossed the track which then led him into a small incline on the infield that could easily roll you.. if he had just let it spin into the dirt, he should of had lots of room to stop without flipping the car or hitting anything.. the cage clearly did everything it is designed to do.. other people havent been as lucky on that track..

I'm suprised they don't make you wear arm restraints

They were mandatory when I raced 1/4 midgets, and saved a LOT of arms, hands and fingers. If that guy just so happen to put his hand against the roof, between the cage and sheet metal...well...
