AIR CRAFT remover sold at ACE, spray it on and it will eat the paint down to the bare metal by itself. Use to use this stuff on valve covers. Works wonders

better than the aircraft stripper is MEK aka methyl ethyl ketone

got to work with a lot of that stuff at the FAA repair place i worked at for a while, good/slightly dangerous times :upyours:

If you end up using aircraft stripper on your vehicles body and it goes down to bare metal. You need to etch prime the metal before you paint...this doesn not mean any primer....has to be direct to metal or etch primer. Not doing so, could result into rusting under the surfaxe of the paint or paint flaking off in the near future...FYI..

aircraft stripper is fine, but i wonder how it compares on wheel paint, factory paint on wheels (at least my bmw wheels) was a fucking bitch. shit was on there good... took almost an entire can of stripper just to kind of get it off of one wheel. now if someone has spray painted your shit yeah it works great.

yeah valve covers come off like the paint was never there, i sprayed maybe 1/15th a can on a factory d-series cover and the paint ran off with water. but shit that's never supposed to chip like wheels is a different story.
